Really...I mean REALLY?

Ok, so I admit I am normally grossed out by wierd things. So why on earth does Erin feels the need to try and show me that her belly button can pop out flat. I mean really, does she think I WANT to see this. I am sure it will happen eventually.....but not now! LOL ok more later!

Go baby Go!

So I just figured out how to update the blog from my phone. FUN!

Kaitlyn is moving A LOT now. Almost to the point where if you patient you can feel it from the outside or see my belly move.

I was reading my book tonight and realized I am almost into the 3rd trimester its 2 weeks away! CRAZY!

Time to start decorating the nursery!

Your pregnancy: 22 weeks

How your baby's growing:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Your pregnancy: 21 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long —the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

Baby Girl

Yesterday was the ultrasound, as you know Shaun already has the pictures up. Let me tell you some of the stuff they check and measure is kind of scary! The ultrasound lady (whose name was Carol, I will never forget that cause it's my moms name) would say I am measuring the skin at the back of baby neck, an large amount of skin could indicate downs syndrome and your baby.............(panic sets in).........is normal. They checked about a million little things but in the end it was nice to know that the baby is in there all safe and sound and growing just like it should.

Then on to the fun stuff, she asked us again if we were sure we wanted to know it was a boy or a girl. We told her yes so she started trying to get our modest little baby to open up it's legs, complete with me rolling on my side, her shaking and jiggling my tummy. Then she paused the screen got a huge smile on her face rested her head on her hand and said....now your really sure you want to know. Again was said YES. She told us it's a little girl. And showed us how she could tell. (Butt cheek - Butt cheek - 3 white dots) It was kind of cool I know now that my little girl is the one that is fluttering around in there and growing big and strong.

Overall it was really neat it made it more real, to see pictures of her little nose and her sucking her thumb and she was flexing her hand open and shut almost like she was waiving. So....now it's time to think pink and get her room ready for her. Due date confirmed as June 29th (accurate within 5 days) and she is 3/4 of a pound right now.

Your pregnancy: 20 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Your pregnancy: 19 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Definitely baby moving....

So last Wednesday on my way home from work I was thinking that I hadn't felt anything like the feeling that I thought was the baby moving since last Friday. Just as I was thinking about it felt this rumble like something rolling around in my belly just above and to the right of my left hip. I guess it could best be described as mixing cookie batter in a mixer, where it's all lumped up around the beater and rolling around in the bowl. (Does that make sense or is it just me because I like to bake?) I thought to myself wow....I think that was really it!

Danielle said that i should start to look for things that felt the same and that it would probably be while driving or sitting somewhere because when your at work or moving around your motions lull the baby to sleep. So I decided I would start trying to recognize this feeling.

I think that I felt it once on twice this weekend but it wasn't as distinct. Then today I was at work and I really had to go to the bathroom!!! Everyone seemed to be in a conspiracy against me though, more customers kept coming up, people needed me etc etc until finally I just ran from the branch. I hustled to the back of Acme, up the steps and into the bathroom. As I was walking down the stairs I felt the same rumbling again with every step that I took. I even stopped to make sure it was the same feeling. I think baby was happy to have the room back that my bladder was taking up. Ha ha!

I felt the same feeling at least 3 more times during the day, again on the way home, and again while watching tv tonight AND I can feel it right now. So I think that this is definitely the baby moving. Which is cool!

Shaun just looked over at me and said "you have a baby human growing inside you". He is so cute. I let him take the first "pregnant" picture of me today when I came home from work. We will see how long it takes to get posted. Joy!
